BioImagene’s iScan family of automated digital slide scanners coupled with our Virtuoso™ software, comprise our total digital pathology solution. BioImagene’s iScan 2.0™, iScan Coreo™ Au and iScan Concerto™ slide scanners are best-in-class systems engineered to increase pathology workflow efficiency, save time and reduce costs for the laboratory technician and the pathologist.
The iScan 2.0 and iScan Coreo Au are high-throughput, high-capacity brightfield scanning systems engineered to digitize slides. The iScan Concerto is an innovative brightfield and fluorescent scanning system. The iScan slide scanners provide high speed, walk-away scanning of slides with excellent image quality.
Our scanners incorporate the most current advances in scanning technology, including automatic slide detection, auto turret, slide annotations, batch scanning, automatic AOI detection, to name a few. They are fully integrated with BioImagene’s software applications to provide an end-to-end slide management, visualization, and image analysis system. Each iScan unit is manufactured in California under the ISO 13485:2003 quality management system (QMS) which ensures that each unit undergoes rigorous testing before shipment to the end user.
Once the digital image is created by the iScan, it opens up numerous opportunities for the pathologist to review the case anywhere and anytime with a simple Internet connection. Pathologists are now no longer bound to their microscope and glass slides. They are now empowered with new capabilities such as image analysis, digital archiving, collaboration, enhanced reporting and several others.
